The day before Halloween some of my friends spontaneously decided to go trick or treating so we quickly made our costumes and went out on Halloween (we are seniors in college btw) and gotta say…
That was some of the most fun I’ve had recently omg actually great and everyone was so nice, I think most people were just excited to see trick or treaters, we got so much more candy than we thought, filled up each of our canvas bags halfway in like an hour.
Honestly kind of forgot what it was like to just walk around and see peoples houses and decorations and just talk with them a bit. I’m gonna be eating candy for at least two months now 😌
Highly recommend people to go trick or treating in college at least once, it was just a great experience :)
I can very much recommend reverse trick or treating.
My sister and I put on our costumes on Halloween, had a big basket full of candy with us and knocked on the doors to deliver candy.
Most people were first confused and then really happy!
Especially if you feel you are too old to go collect candy. You are old enough to deliver candy and still have the experience of a lovely walk, cool costumes and very nice conversations.
I especially love to give candy to the teenagers on the street corner. They are mostly not in costume but still want to be part of the celebrations but too awkward to ask for candy.
They get really happy if I approach them first.
Attention. Only do this on Halloween. If you give candy to kids on the street you will get arrested any other day of the year. It is fun, though.
“Trick or Yeet!” I shout to the children when I open the door. “Yeet?” one says confusidly. I shrug. “Yeet it is.” I throw the child.
Not Halloween but, okay.
okay you stick of unsalted butter i made this on halloween but everyone just likes to reblog it for some reason
Reblog today only to avoid OP cursing you out for a stick of unsalted butter
hello, it’s me, enlightened historical fiction feminist heroine. i hate being forced to wear my long hair gathered up neatly and securely behind my head. oh how i long to let it flow free and whip around wildly in the wind and get in my face and my eyes and my mouth and get snagged on everything
why would i ever want to wear plain period appropriate hairstyle that focuses on practicality because i am absolutely busy during the day unless i’m upper class when i could instead appeal to specific luxurious 21st century marketable beauty norms
I also resent to wear my corset. I want to feel my boobs to bounce freely as I ride my horse, and back support is an act of oppression!!
I am forced to wear long, loose skirts which allow me to move freely and can be easily tucked up out of the way while providing a useful makeshift bag. Why oh why must I be trapped, when I could be wearing stiff trousers with no pockets?
I know! I shall secretly wear trousers (with braces) under my dress to show my refusal of tradition! Boy I sure am glad I was born without the need to piss!
Why should I do women’s work that is inherently inferior to men’s work? I don’t need to sew! I will get my clothes from Target. Clothes are unimportant and girly and I will demonstrate this by getting muddy and stained and tearing my skirts and destroying hundreds of labor hours of that aforementioned women’s work.

hey quick PSA but “reading before bed to wind down” only works if you’re normal about books btw. if you aren’t you are going to end up awake at 2:52am after finishing the whole book just trust me on this one
nothing comes close to the joy of falling into your own warm comfy cosy bed after six hours on the bloody train
